Brightline West is a high-speed intercity rail project connecting Las Vegas, Nevada, and Rancho Cucamonga, California, providing a fast, all-electric alternative to highway travel between Southern California and Las Vegas.
The project is designed to operate at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, reducing end-to-end travel time to just over two hours. Preconstruction coordination ensures that alignment, material delivery, and regulatory approvals remain on schedule while mitigating cost impacts.
The alignment spans 218 miles, with the majority of the corridor located within the I-15 median, presenting unique access, logistics, and safety challenges. The project integrates European standards with U.S. regulatory requirements to establish a best-in-class system tailored to domestic conditions.
Need
Rising travel demand between Southern California and Las Vegas has led to highway congestion and long travel times. Brightline West addresses this by delivering a reliable, higher-speed intercity rail system that reduces travel time, improves regional mobility, and supports environmentally responsible transportation alternatives.
