The Pikes Peak team has started laying new cog rail on the mountain. They’ve spent the last year preparing for this activity by removing the 127-year old rail infrastructure, constructing ditches, replacing drainage, stabilizing and finishing subgrade, distributing rail material, installing soil nail anchors, and clearing snow.
